Die Monographie ist das Ergebnis der Umsetzung des MATRA-Projekts, das sich auf die Entwicklung der Betreuung von Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung konzentriert.

Es bezieht sich auf vier Bereiche: Management in Organisationen, Verbesserung der Lebensqualität von Menschen mit besonderen Bedürfnissen, psychische und Gesundheit von Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung und Verbesserung von Elternorganisationen, in denen Experten aus Einrichtungen für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung und Eltern tätig sind Das Projekt zeigte Chancen und Veränderungsbedarf im Bereich der Betreuung von Menschen mit Behinderungen auf.
