Ova knjiga sadrži četiri istraživačka priloga o tekstovima koje je teže pronaći i pojedinačnim bibliofilskim izdanjima malo poznatih pisaca. Namera autora bila je da čitalačku publiku i omladinu upozna sa pouzdanom slikom hrvatske zavičajne književnosti i kulturnog stanja hrvatskog naroda u 18. veku. veka. Slovensku književnost smatrao je važnim delom hrvatske književnosti.
