Povratak Filipa Latinovicza

The Return of Filip Latinovicz is one of Miroslav Krleža's most famous novels. This novel is significant in our literature because it is considered the first fully modern Croatian novel.

Hrvatski bog Mars

The Croatian god Mars brings seven anti-war novels in which Krleža portrays war as a cruel, senseless machinery that destroys the "little man", exposing the hypocrisy of militarism and myths about heroism.

Božanski pastir

The book contains a selection of Šop's poetry and prose, the play The Eternal Prelude, Šop's letters to Dragutin Tadijanović, and memories of his acquaintance with Francis Jammes. The selection was compiled and the foreword written by Branimir Donat.

Tirena

Pastoral drama (comedy) in five acts, written in double-rhymed twelve-line stanzas (with eight-line stanzas in the lyrical parts), the oldest preserved play by Držić (premiered in 1548 in Dubrovnik, printed in 1551 in Venice).

This is a collection that begins with a part of the genocide in Srebrenica, and ends with a monologue of war criminals, in which Bašović opens and closes the cycle of the war curse.
