Zagor LU #331: Palikuća

Palikuća opens an adventure rooted in a mining catastrophe. Five years after the disaster at Keating claimed dozens of lives, a series of murders brings renewed attention to the mine and its former management. A past some hoped to forget returns through violence.

Rumours suggest that the dead miners haunt the scene of the tragedy. Zagor investigates whether the original disaster was truly an accident and how it connects with the latest victims.

Vittorio Sossi’s story, scripted by Mirko Perniola, combines a revenge thriller with questions of responsibility for an industrial tragedy. The search for a killer also examines the relationship between those who made decisions and those who paid for their consequences with their lives. Supernatural rumours heighten fear without removing the need for evidence.

Alessandro Chiarolla’s artwork emphasises agitation, sudden movement and the threatening atmosphere of the mining setting. Investigation into past events alternates with immediate danger, keeping the mystery connected to its human cost.

This issue begins the trilogy spanning Ludens #331–333, continued in Formula smrti and concluded in Osveta bez kraja.
