Discoverer of the New World: Christopher Columbus follows the life of Columbus (1451–1506), a Genoese navigator who, under the patronage of the Spanish kings, sailed across the Atlantic in 1492 in search of a western route to India. Instead, he discovered the Caribbean (San Salvador). The comic depicts his perseverance, navigational skills, and conflicts with his crew, as well as controversies, such as his treatment of the natives. His vision and the historical significance of the discovery of America are emphasized.
The First White Man Before the Pacific: Balboa describes the adventures of the Spanish conquistador (1475–1519) who became the first European to see the Pacific Ocean in 1513, crossing the Isthmus of Panama. The comic highlights his courage, but also his greed and conflicts with the natives and the Spanish authorities, which led to his death.
The comic combines historical facts with dramatic depictions, emphasizing the spirit of exploration. The antiquarian value of the 1980 edition is increasing due to the rarity of the offer on the market.
