Trevor Ravenscroft

Trevor Ravenscroft was born in England in 1921. After graduating from the Military College at Repton and Sandhurst, he became a special forces officer in World War II. During the assassination attempt on General Rommel, he was captured and transferred to Germany, where he resided from 1941-1945. He unsuccessfully escaped from the camp three times. After the war, he studied at St. Thomas Hospital and became a journalist. For twelve years he studied history with Dr. Walter Johannes Stein, conducting extensive research for writing the book Spear of Destiny. Before his death in 1989, he taught history in London and Edinburgh.
