"New art", "contemporary art" and "20th century art": they are identical terms, and if there is one fundamental characteristic of it, then it is first and foremost a struggle against the entire European tradition and the destruction of a thousand-year-old

The texts in this book were selected primarily as illustrations of the types of contemporary philosophical approach to art. They are arranged thematically: in the introductory place there is a text about the unity of European culture, followed by texts that consider individual arts from architecture, sculpture, painting to music and literature, and then come texts of increasingly general significance that touch on all the arts as a whole.
