Angels and demons, good and evil spirits, are conspicuously present in popular imaginations of all religions. Theologians are increasingly asking the question: "Are angels and demons a myth or a reality?" And, if the reality of these beings truly enters the ranks of revealed truths, what meaning does it take on for man and his relationship with God? How to imagine Satan and his evil influence in the economy of salvation history? In order to provide a complete view close to the givens of faith, some experts analyze the whole problem at different levels: in the first part of the volume, referring to angels, and in the second to demons. After an extensive introduction by Carlo Rocchetta, which collects and contrasts various questions and attempts at solutions arising from the latest theology, the famous biblical scholar Benito Marconcini presents facts about angels and demons that are more or less prominently present in biblical literature. What follows is a long and detailed historical research on the character and role of angels and demons in the church tradition, which is written about by the famous exorcist Fr. Angelo Amato, while the systematic theologian Carlo Rocchetti is entrusted with the difficult task of proposing a comprehensive theological vision, which is biblically based and coherent. He describes angels as "worshippers of the living God" and servants of Christ's work and the mission of the Church. This valuable book, which was missing in the Croatian theological climate, ends with the work of the theologian and expert in psychiatry and parapsychology Moreno Fiori, who suggests thinking about Satan and his actions in the world (attacks, local disturbances, devilish possession and related phenomenology) especially emphasizing faith Churches in the final victory of Christ.
