Dijamantni put tibetanskog umijeća isjeljivanja

Dragutin Šmalcelj

The book The Diamond Way contains commentaries on authentic medical texts entitled r'Gyud-b'Zhi (Four Medical Tantras), on which Tibetan medical science is based over two thousand years old.

Over a long period of time, through the oral transmission of experiences accumulated over generations, a medical system of specific diagnostic skills and therapeutic methods developed, almost completely unknown to the world outside of ancient Tibet.

This system is enriched by Buddhism's deep insights into the human nature of the mind and the ultimate knowledge of the primary causes of disease, which the author deals with in this book. From the wisdom of a deeper understanding of this nature, diagnostics and therapy have grown, depending on the current cause that caused the disorder.

The book also describes the basic exercises of mental yoga on the mind-body relationship, diet and behavior, which helps in maintaining good health and prolonging life. The relationship between created causes, conditions and resulting consequences is explained through three described phases: the metaphysics of conception, life, and external and internal signs in the process of dying.

One of the main messages of this book is that if we do not heal or purify our mind, diseases and problems will always be there, inseparable like a shadow, and will give birth to suffering again and again. That is why it is a book and a manual that will prove valuable in the daily life of today's man tired of the search for happiness in the rainforest of globalization.
