Working for more than half a century, Professor Ivan Martinović (1848-1927) left a deep mark as a Slavonian educator, and as a historian of education in the Slavonian Military Territory. He was a long-time member of the Croatian Pedagogical Association and one of the founders of the Croatian School Museum in Zagreb. The book contains several of his works in the field of Slavonic history and the history of education, as well as Ružica Kolar-Kovačić's text about his life and work, which also includes a selective bibliography of Ivan Martinović's works.
