By moving within a much broader cultural and historical context, a departure from the previous ways of interpreting this period was established, a spiritual and creative climate was recreated within which the process of modernist paradigm reconstruction took place, and the formulated meaning of the concept of modernity, which Croatian art and Croatian art criticism will have at their disposal in the coming decades.
