The Hamburg dramaturgy is one of the author's most famous works.
Gotthold Ephraim Lessing was a German poet, playwright, critic and art theorist. He is the originator of German civil literature and one of the most militant representatives of the European Enlightenment. He was a writer of wide erudition, one of the founders of modern German literature and aesthetics.
