The collection of selected poems by A. B. Šimić brings an extensive selection from the poetry of this giant of the Croatian written word.
In addition to the entire collection of Transfiguration, poems from periodicals and those from posthumous ones, contributions were also added to the collection. These are Šimić's program articles from Vijenc and Juriš, two of his most famous essays on poetry, and autobiographical records. The editor Vinko Brešić also included two memoirs of Šimić's friends and contemporaries A. H. Žarković (i.e. Alfonso Heisinger) and Gustav Krklec.
