Barack Obama

The book "Audacity of Hope" is Obama's call for a new type of politics - a politics that relies on mutual understanding.

Very clear in his vision of America's role in the world, refreshingly honest when he writes about his family life and his time in the Senate, in this book Obama presents his political beliefs and incentives for not losing faith in the unyielding optimism that has always defined us and is our best hope on the way to progress. "Barack Obama is one of those rare politicians who can also write - and in a touching and sincere way... On these pages, he often addresses the reader as if he were an old friend from long ago, spicing up political recommendations with graphic side comments about the absurdities of political life … trying to ground his political thinking in common sense … while articulating those ideas through judicious, non-partisan prose.” (New York Times) "The book 'The Audacity of Hope' is largely devoid of the numbing language of politics. It doesn't come across as insincere or calculated. It exudes an intellectual and spiritual quest whose reasons are more compelling than vanity or ambition.” - (Daily Telegraph) Barack Obama was born in Honolulu (Hawaii, USA) in 1961. In his early twenties, he found his calling working in poor communities on the South Side of Chicago. Later, he went to the Faculty of Law at Harvard University, where he became the first black president of the magazine 'Harvard Law Review'. In 1995, he published his autobiography "Dreams from My Father", which became a bestseller soon after it was republished in 2004. After returning to Chicago, he was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996.
