Ruski rulet: Bulevarski roman 1-2
The action, full of tension, will become more complicated until the point where Mohr, a cynic for whom money was not something that a man should complicate his life for, feels "a drop too much". Nothing is the same after that.
There are questions that persistently, for decades, even centuries, emerge from under the pen of literary criticism. One of these requires the exact determination of a beginning. On this trail, one may wonder with which prose Tribuson announced himself as a bestseller. The answer is clear: the novel Russian Roulette, published in 1982. An intelligent story set in the thirties of the last century, divided into four parts. The time covered between the arrival of the rich man Emanuel Mohr in Zagreb and his farewell to Adieu, Zagreb brings to the scene boredom, characters from a dubious past, bizarre failed artists, questionable financiers, half the world, anarchist assassins, artist groups, emigrants... There are no innocents, but the fact that punishment sometimes precedes guilt, instead of the guilt of punishment, is completely irrelevant.
The book consists of two volumes.
