Muzički leksikon (priručnik za ljubitelje muzike)

Muzički leksikon (priručnik za ljubitelje muzike)

Casper Höweler

It is difficult, and it seems even impossible, to find a sufficiently comprehensive title to present a work as complex as this combination of a musical lexicon, a guide through symphonic, oratorio, chamber and opera music.

After all, the author himself, the prominent Dutch musicologist Casper Hoeweler, was satisfied with the quite vague title X-Y-Z der Muziek. This, however, did not at all prevent such a well-conceived work from experiencing numerous editions in a short period of time (our translation was made according to the 15th edition), and it also penetrated into countries with such rich musical literature as, for example, Germany and France.
