The monograph presents the most precious works from the collection of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which was opened in 1902 and was initiated by the Frenchman Auguste Mariette.
It has many pearls of Egyptian art in its composition, such as the imposing stone statue of Pharaoh Amenophis III and his wife Theia, and the gigantic statue of Ramses II.
