Jo Nesbo is a Norwegian writer, known for his series of novels about the detective Harry Hole, which brought him numerous awards and world fame. The novel "Police" is the tenth in the series about this famous investigator.

A deranged killer stalks the streets of Oslo, and his victims are Harry's former police colleagues, whom he kills at the authentic locations of unsolved crimes. The police are helpless.

Before he executes them, the killer brutalizes his victims, leaving them to die in terrible agony, and even Harry's loved ones are not spared.

However, even Harry can't help them this time. After years of being at the center of every major police investigation, proving that he is simply brilliant at it, and having saved countless lives, Harry is no longer in a position to help anyone.
