Through her everyday life, we follow the struggle between social classes, love desires and personal ambitions. Ančka dreams of a better life, but her hopes are often crushed by harsh reality. The story intertwines motifs of love, sacrifice and the pursuit of freedom, while Ančka faces the obstacles imposed on her by society. The novel vividly depicts life in the countryside, customs and interpersonal relationships, and through the character of Ančka, explores themes of identity and self-confidence.
