The book "Priest - Disciple of Christ" by Lusha Gjergji deals with the topic of priesthood in a contemporary context.
Especially in Europe, where we are faced with a shortage of priestly vocations, negative phenomena, scandals and abandonment of the priestly ministry. The author approaches these issues not only from the human side, but also through the prism of faith and the "surgery" of love. He considers sociological, psychological, theological and ecclesiological aspects, focusing on the identity, spirituality, action and testimony of priests in today's world. He particularly emphasizes the importance of the Eucharist and service to the most needy, analyzing the life and work of St. Mother Teresa as an example of devoted service. The book is the result of the author's 40 years of priestly experience and represents his contribution to the understanding and living of the priestly vocation.
