In this story, agents Nathan Never and Andy Havilland are tasked with finding Shad, known as the "stupid virtual reality cowboy", who is hiding in a dangerous area of the city called "Dirty Boulevard". During the search, they face various dangers and discover the dark side of virtual reality that affects the lives of the inhabitants of the area.
