In the middle of the day, a man entered the bank, took two million kroner, killed the teller and walked away on a busy street in the center of the city. The robber left no traces, no footprints, no hair, no fiber of clothing. Only the security camera footage is left for the police to investigate, and it is taken over by Inspector Harry Hole and a young colleague Beate Lonn who has already solved three robbery cases solely by studying the security camera footage. At the same time, Inspector Hole investigates the death of an old friend who was found dead after his visit while someone sends him threatening messages and wants to set up a murder. Despite all this, he did not give up on the investigation and discovery of the killer and his colleague and friend Ellen, who worked with him on the previous case of arms smuggling.
