The first book in the Irish trilogy follows the adventures of a lonely American psychologist who quits her job and lives in a cottage near a beautiful coastal village in County Waterford, Ireland. She intends to explore her family roots, but also to examine her own heart. However, the cottage where she sleeps is inhabited by the ghost of a woman who never realized her love. The author skillfully uses elements of old Irish myths and legends, so even a love-struck elf prince will be of great help in resolving a three-hundred-year conflict, and many imaginative twists will be told around a crackling fire in the local pub.
