Da li je Biblija još uvijek suvremena?

Da li je Biblija još uvijek suvremena?

Vlatko Perše

In this time when man does whatever he wants; in a time when the world becomes more brutal day by day, and human life becomes more aimless, and in most cases does not recognize a Supreme Authority.

There is one book that was not written by human wisdom. It can show us a life worth living. That book is called the Bible or the Holy Scriptures. Man of today wants to be free and independent, but the Bible is the only book in the world that wants to prove to man that he is not capable of being independent. History is sufficient proof of this. Many people who have rejected the instructions of this Word have fallen to a very low moral level. People think that if they could completely destroy the Bible, they would then become completely free. The second way of attacking the Bible is perhaps even more dangerous than the first. Some people say that the Bible is an inspired book, but that not only it is inspired, but also other works of world literature. However, the Bible, as the Word of God, is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, unlike other books, it is holy and of Divine character. People, wanting to diminish its importance, say: All roads lead to Rome. By this they mean that many roads lead to God, and that it is impossible to know for sure which one of them is the right one. It is true. Only with a serious approach and an open heart can we see through this precious book the difference between the Bible and other contemporary books and point out the beauties that are found in it.
