Zagor LU #159: U džungli Yucatana

U džungli Yucatana takes Zagor far from Darkwood in search of Jean Lafitte, abducted by mysterious warriors. Accompanied by Chico and Denise, he follows their trail through difficult terrain, turning a rescue mission into an encounter with an unexpected world.

In the swamps they discover New Tenochtitlan, a hidden city whose inhabitants still follow ancient Aztec customs. The lost civilisation is a living community rather than an abandoned ruin, raising fresh questions about the kidnappers and Lafitte’s fate. Entering this isolated society presents challenges that cannot be overcome simply by finding a route through the jungle.

Moreno Burattini draws on the tradition of lost-city adventures, allowing geographical exploration to become the discovery of an unfamiliar social order. A missing friend, captivity and the unknown give the exotic setting a clear dramatic purpose.
