Bomboni od meda

Bomboni od meda

Milana Vlaović

In "Honey Candies", Milana Vlaović tells the story of a woman who, in the worst of times, in the midst of the Great World War, set out, guided by her loves, from the island into the world. Stories about women from the outskirts and the provinces are stori

The story flows as if its motto were that verse by Elvis J. Kurtovich: "she wore beauty like a curse". Marta was born to be an ordinary island woman, who would live out her life in an orderly manner - grow up, get married, work in the fields, go to church, wear widow's black - just as so many others did, before and after her. But there was something in her that didn't give her...

History was happening around Marta, the great events of the twentieth century, and war, and she fell in love fatally and bloody, living her destiny, which in the end is so similar to the destiny of our century. Those who came after her talk about Marta, and collect what is left. And in fact, nothing is left. Nothing remains behind a person's destiny.
