Istinita lica

Istinita lica

Vjekoslav Prvčić

A book of reports, written in Podravka's factory newspaper in the 1970s. Prvčić's interlocutors (with excellent black-and-white photo portraits) include, for example, a toilet attendant, a cleaner, a driver, a taster, a machine worker...

They are either ordinary Podravina residents or ordinary people who have arrived in Podravina from various places, who live and work, criticize and praise, glance at the rearview mirrors of their lives and turn their gaze towards the future. In the preface to the book True Faces, Veselko Tenžera wrote, among other things, this: …Because, let us not forget, we throw away newspapers today so that we can guess the epoch from them tomorrow. Today we only read them, so that we can study them tomorrow.
