The main character is a boy who befriends an unusual wolf – a white wolf, a rare and strong creature that is different from the others. At first, the wolf is wild, cautious and distrustful, but over time a strong bond develops between him and the boy, based on mutual respect and understanding. Through numerous adventures in nature – forests, mountains, and dangers that come from both animals and people – their friendship deepens. The wolf helps the boy, but the boy also learns about life in the wild, about the laws of nature and the importance of freedom.
