Djevojčica, 11

Djevojčica, 11

Amy Suiter Clarke

Once a social worker specializing in child victims of domestic violence, Elle Castillo is now the host of a popular crime podcast that deals with never-solved but not forgotten cases of missing children.

After two seasons of successfully solving cases, Elle decides to tackle the greatest challenge of all investigators – the Countdown Killer. Twenty years ago, the serial killer in question abruptly ended a series of cruel ritual murders of young girls. No one has been able to explain the background to the extremely unusual ritual of choosing victims and killings, and investigators and the public have been deprived of bringing the killer to justice, as well as of explaining what happened to him and why he stopped at his eleventh victim, an eleven-year-old girl. When one of the podcast listeners reports that he has a key clue to uncovering the killer, he is found dead shortly after the report, and within a few days a new series of kidnappings begins according to the recognizable pattern of the Countdown Killer. Unlike experts in analyzing the behavior of serial killers, Elle never believed that this sadist died and that is why the killings stopped, and her podcast and show will suddenly find themselves in the spotlight and play a key role in the investigation of a new series of disappearances for which, as it seems, the supposedly dead killer is responsible.
