Tajna bakinog tavana

Tajna bakinog tavana

Ana Bilić

The book deals with themes such as family secrets, growing up, and discovering one's roots. The main character explores her grandmother's past and uncovers hidden stories that shape her identity.

'The Secret of Grandma's Attic' is an unusual story about an ordinary girl named Tomica who was chosen precisely because of her pure heart to save the wonderful world of Terastelu. Namely, the evil elf king stole the fairy princess Flavia because of whose song the entire land 'on the other side' is immortal. Tomica must free Flavia; otherwise the entire rapidly aging land will die. In her task, she is helped by the old sleepyhead snorer giant Hrk Ćićibuu (on whom the one-eyed witch Sanunu cast an evil spell that if he falls asleep he will forget everything, therefore the giant never sleeps), the dwarves Pio and Gus Gus. On their journey to the kingdom of the evil elf king, the group encounters a series of dangers and problems from the machinations of the one-eyed witch Sanunu, the dragon Zabezaj and the like. How the story ends should be left to the children to read and discover.
