Ranko Marinković

The book includes the following short stories: Your Lonely Life, Skirt, Dust, Angel, Bone Stars, Benito Floda von Reltih, Hands and Embrace.

In terms of content, the careful and spiritual depictions of typical choral or chamber scenes from the lives, climates and mentality of certain characters, related to Dalmatia and the Mediterranean, give way to the marginal, the exceptional, observed from a different perspective. With such content, the already hinted theme of rivalry is sharpened as a problem of superficial difference and secret identity not only between the characters but also between the narrating voice and the narrated character.
