Alibi od deset minuta

Alibi od deset minuta

Antony Armstrong, Herbert Shaw

This book is perfect for fans of clever detective puzzles without too much action.

The story takes place in England in the 1930s. The protagonist, Colin Derwent, is an ordinary man whose love for Betty Findon is threatened by the charming but vicious Philip Sevilla, half English, half Spanish. Sevilla is a typical seducer and con man: he seduces young women, takes them to Paris, leaves them destitute, and then demands a ransom to stop. When he discovers that Derwent wants to pay over £1,000 to get Sevilla away from Betty, he mocks him and tells him that he would gladly kill him – but without a perfect alibi.
