"Partisan Sad Tales" is a collection of stories by Branko Ćopić, published in 1949, which in a special way describes the suffering, heroism and emotional moments from the time of the National Liberation Struggle during the Second World War.
In this work, the writer interweaves the world and motifs of the Forgotten Land with the motifs of his own world, and the motifs of his childhood with the later periods of his life, when he goes back to his village after fifteen years.
The story begins with Doctor John Dolittle asking for some money to pay for his trip to Africa.
If you are interested in adventure, magic and love, I recommend that you explore this work and discover more of its poetic virtue!
