Božić Herculea Poirota

Božić Herculea Poirota

Agatha Christie

Božić Herculea Poirota (engl. Hercule Poirot’s Christmas) klasični je detektivski roman Agathe Christie, u kojem briljantni belgijski detektiv Hercule Poirot rješava zločin unutar obiteljskog kruga.

Radnja se odvija u velikoj engleskoj ladanjskoj kući tijekom božićnih blagdana. Stari, bogati i omraženi patrijarh Simeon Lee poziva svoju razjedinjenu obitelj da proslave Božić zajedno, iako među članovima vladaju duboki sukobi i sumnje. Ubrzo nakon početka okupljanja, Simeon Lee biva brutalno ubijen u svojoj sobi, a tragovi i motivi vode do svakog od prisutnih. Poirot je pozvan da istraži zločin, koristeći svoju pronicljivost i sposobnost promatranja kako bi razotkrio istinu skrivenu iza slojeva laži i obiteljskih tajni. U prepoznatljivom Christieinom stilu, roman završava neočekivanim razrješenjem u kojem svi dijelovi slagalice sjedaju na mjesto. Knjiga istražuje teme pohlepe, obiteljskih odnosa i osvete, a napeta atmosfera dodatno je naglašena kontrastom s radosnim božićnim ozračjem.
