Treća djevojka

Treća djevojka

Agatha Christie

A detective novel starring Hercule Poirot and Ariadne Oliver. The story follows the mystery surrounding a young girl, Norma Restarick, who visits Poirot convinced that she may have committed murder, but quickly gives up the conversation and runs away.

Norma is an insecure, emotionally unstable girl who shares a modern London flat with two roommates, Claudia Reece-Holland and Frances Cary. Intrigued by her strange behaviour, Poirot joins forces with Ariadne Oliver, a detective novelist, to investigate the case.

Norma is connected to the wealthy Restarick family, and her father, Andrew, has recently returned from Africa after a long absence. Doubts soon arise about the identities of some of the characters, including Andrew's business partner and Norma's love interest, David Baker, a bohemian artist.

The plot becomes more complicated when links are discovered between drugs, possible poisoning and mysterious deaths. Poirot investigates Norma's unstable mental state, suspecting manipulation or a false reality created by others around her. Through a series of twists and turns, including hidden identities and family secrets, Poirot uncovers a complex scheme involving deceit, greed and murder.
