Vještac

Oliver Pötzsch

In this extraordinary, carefully crafted story, every word is a possible clue, and the characters are so engaged that the reader must join in trying to help them solve the puzzle.

When two of the friar's assistants are found dead and Friar Virgilius disappears, everything is blamed on Friar Johannes, a monk who hides his bloody past. It seems that Jakob Kuisl, the executioner of Schongau, is also part of that past, and he rushes to Andechs to help Simon and Magdalena discover who is behind the recent murders. The trio from Schongau set out in search of the murderer, but in doing so, they underestimate the great danger that lurks...
