Nineteen texts about American writers, written mostly in the 1950s by poet, storyteller, playwright, essayist and translator Antun Šoljan, partly together with Ivan Slamnig.
The book contains all of Šoljan's texts on American literature, which have not been included in books so far, with the exception of three texts. The afterword "Covering America" was written by Tomislav Brlek, the editor of this edition.
