Sve je počelo na Uskrs
Inspector Borna Herman in his prime and his former mentor, forensic scientist Irma Steeg, found a detective agency and solved their first case.
On Easter Sunday in the center of Zagreb, on Bakačeva Street, a wealthy Zagreb businessman was murdered, whose family had hired investigators to solve the murder. This time, the investigation moves to the seaside, to the picturesque Primošten, a small town where the entire family of the murdered man is on vacation, and Inspector Herman recently bought a house. One killer is visible on the surveillance camera footage. Why he fired one bullet at the victim from two different pistols is only part of the puzzle that investigators will have to carefully piece together. At a time when we are surrounded by problems, from wars, climate change and gloomy political forecasts to daily price increases, this book is, I would almost dare to say, healing. It represents an oasis in which we can rest and simply enjoy reading. With this third novel, the author has formed a series whose new continuation we are eagerly awaiting. I think we can say that, with the exception of Pavličić and Tribuson, a new star has definitely appeared in the sparse sky of Croatian crime writers.
