The Great Book of Saints: An Illustrated Encyclopedia by Day is an encyclopedic work that provides a chronological overview of more than five hundred saints, blesseds, and martyrs arranged according to the days of the liturgical year. The material is not limited to the General Roman Calendar, but also includes saints from the Lectionary of the Church of England, the liturgical calendar of the dioceses of the United States of America, and numerous Orthodox, local, and contemporary saints, thus providing a broader overview of the Christian hagiographic heritage.
