Tripping
Robbie Williams' 2005 lead maxi-single CD for the hit Tripping features the original B-side Make Me Pure, the B-side Meet The Stars and an extended documentary video from the making of the video.
This European maxi-single CD edition (Chrysalis / EMI, catalog number 0946 3 41824 0 5) was released in October 2005 as the official announcement of Robbie Williams' sixth studio album, Intensive Care. The title track "Tripping" marked a significant stylistic shift in Williams' career - it brings an infectious, rhythmic blend of pop, 80s new wave synth sounds and reggae elements, created in collaboration with Stephen Duffy.
In addition to the title hit, this CD single offers an exceptionally rich additional content for collectors and fans. The disc also contains the song "Make Me Pure", an acoustic original track that served as an equal A-side in some markets, and the exclusive B-side "Meet The Stars". As a special multimedia bonus (Enhanced CD section), the edition also includes the official video for "Tripping" and an exclusive short documentary film "Tripping - Behind The Scenes", which shows details from the filming of the video.
Released in the classic slim CD-single (J-card) packaging, this single was a huge commercial success and topped the charts across Europe, making it an indispensable piece in Robbie Williams' discography.
