Nije kao med i mlijeko: Bog nakon komunizma

Nije kao med i mlijeko: Bog nakon komunizma

Andras Mate Toth, Pavel Mikluščak

The first part of the collection discusses the method of pastoral theology in the context of communism, and then the social presence of the Church in post-communist societies, from Caritas to the media.

God after Communism – It is Not Like Honey and Milk is a collection of the results of the work of an international network of pastoral theologians from Central and Eastern Europe, published by the publishing house Kršćanska sadašnjost. The collection is subtitled “On the way to the pastoral theology of Eastern (Central) Europe, and brings the results of three symposia, led by the Viennese pastoral theologian Paul Zulehner, who tried to answer the question of what could be learned from the past forty years of persecution of the Church in Eastern Europe, and what is the state of the Church after the changes. “After the fall of communism, this book is a bold step towards shaping a new theology from the experiences of those countries and for those countries that are still burdened by many things today, but carry with them many untapped educational experiences from the past. One can only hope that this first step will be followed by other steps that will strengthen local Churches in finding their own path,” wrote the Archbishop of Prague, Cardinal Miloslav Vlk, in the foreword to the book. The authors of the collection are Andras Mate-Toth and Pavel Miklušćak, in collaboration with members of the network of pastoral theologians of Central and Eastern Europe, including from Croatia Ms. Sr. Rebeka Anić, Dr. Pero Aračić and Dr. Josip Baloban.
