The plot follows the young and rebellious Robinson who leaves his comfortable home in England against the wishes of his parents to sail the world's seas. After a series of maritime accidents, his ship sinks, and he ends up the sole survivor on a remote, uninhabited island off the coast of South America.

Faced with harsh nature, loneliness, and a lack of basic necessities, Crusoe does not lose heart. Through hard work, patience, and the application of practical knowledge, he eventually manages to build a shelter, grow food, tame animals, and organize his life. A key turning point occurs when, after many years, he saves a native from cannibals, names him Friday, and forms a touching friendship with him that changes his loneliness.

This monumental work is not only an adventure novel, but also a profound meditation on human resilience, colonialism, faith, and the individual's ability to overcome life's greatest adversities.
