Zagor – Priče iz Darkwooda #2: Vjetar prerije
Zagor and a Kiowa warrior search for wild horses on the prairie. Their friendship is tested by the violence of men who place no value on Native American lives.
In Philadelphia during the second half of the nineteenth century, a mysterious storyteller reveals little-known episodes from Zagor’s life to journalist Roger Hodgson. The hero has been missing for years, and these recollections reopen a window onto his past.
Vjetar prerije centres on the friendship between Zagor and a Kiowa warrior, who search together for wild horses across the North American prairie. The beauty of unspoilt nature and the freedom of the open landscape stand alongside the brutality of men who regard Native American lives as worthless. Their search becomes a tragic drama of dignity and violence.
Moreno Burattini combines western adventure with themes of loyalty and racial prejudice, while Anna Lazzarini’s artwork gives the natural setting a prominent role. The prairie is more than a backdrop: its vastness and freedom sharpen the impact of the human cruelty that intrudes upon it.
The second instalment of Priče iz Darkwooda presents a sombre Zagor adventure in which friendship and respect for others matter as much as the dangers of the journey.
