Božić Herculea Poirota

Božić Herculea Poirota

Agatha Christie

Hercule Poirot's Christmas is a classic detective novel by Agatha Christie, in which the brilliant Belgian detective Hercule Poirot solves a crime within the family circle.

The story takes place in a large English country house during the Christmas holidays. The old, wealthy and hated patriarch Simeon Lee invites his estranged family to celebrate Christmas together, despite deep conflicts and suspicions among the members. Shortly after the gathering begins, Simeon Lee is brutally murdered in his room, and clues and motives lead to each of the attendees. Poirot is called upon to investigate the crime, using his insight and powers of observation to uncover the truth hidden behind layers of lies and family secrets. In Christie's signature style, the novel ends with an unexpected resolution in which all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. The book explores themes of greed, family relationships and revenge, and the tense atmosphere is further emphasized by the contrast with the joyful Christmas atmosphere.
