Madam Pompadur (1878.) braće Goncourt prati život Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, poznate kao Madame de Pompadour (1721.–1764.), ljubavnice francuskog kralja Luja XV. i jedne od najutjecajnijih žena 18. stoljeća.

Knjiga detaljno opisuje njezin uspon od građanskog podrijetla do središta francuskog dvora u Versaillesu. Braća Goncourt, poznata po naturalističkom stilu, prikazuju Pompadour kao inteligentnu, šarmantnu i ambicioznu ženu koja je svojim umijećem i kulturnim pokroviteljstvom oblikovala francusku politiku i umjetnost.
