The novel On the Rio de la Plata is the first part of a two-part adventure story by Karl May, continued in In the Cordilleras. The action takes place in South America, in Uruguay and Argentina, during the revolutionary turmoil of the 19th century.
Heirs of Winnetou is the name he uses today for the original Winnetou, abbreviated: Winnetou IV, Karl May's last completed novel. This was also the last volume of "Collected Travel Stories".

Biography
The Oil Prince is a story by Karl May that he wrote for the magazine Der Gute Kamerad between August 1892 and the beginning of 1893. The story of the same name, Der Oelprinz, which was published in 1878, is not a precursor to this famous youth story.
Winnetou is one of the most famous novels of Karl May, known for his exciting stories about the Wild West. The story follows the adventures of Old Shatterhand, a German engineer and adventurer, and his close friend, the Apache chief Winnetou.
