Na Hermanovu molbu Irma pristaje na suradnju s policijom i započinje ispitivanje članova obitelji preminulog ugostitelja, među kojima su njegove dvije supruge, brat, dvoje djeceiz prvog braka i kći iz mladenačke veze.
