The collection includes 198 pages and is part of the "Our Poets" edition, book no. IX. It features poems that reflect Ilić's penchant for classicism, formal discipline, and thematic diversity, including landscape motifs, philosophical musings, and reflections on the transience of life. Ilić's poetry often stands out for its precision of expression and harmony of form, which makes him one of the most important representatives of Serbian modern poetry.

Jovan Skerlić's foreword provides an insight into Ilić's poetic personality and his contribution to Serbian literature, emphasizing his role in the transition from romanticism to realism and modernism. Skerlić emphasizes Ilić's ability to express deep emotions and thoughts through strict metrics and classical forms, which laid the foundation for future generations of poets.

This anthology not only provides an overview of Ilić's poetic oeuvre, but also testifies to the cultural cooperation between Croatian and Serbian intellectuals in the interwar period, confirming shared literary values and aesthetics.
