Roman je postao poznat širom svijeta nakon što je adaptiran u izuzetno popularnu telenovelu “A Escrava Isaura” 1976. godine1. Telenovela je postigla veliki uspjeh i bila je emitirana u više od 80 zemalja, uključujući i bivšu Jugoslaviju, gdje je postala prva telenovela prikazana na ovim prostorima1.

Knjiga “Robinja Isaura” istražuje teme kao što su ljubav, pravda i borba za slobodu, te je često hvaljena zbog svoje emotivne dubine i društvene kritike.
