Slomljena

Slomljena

H. M. Ward

In the novel, we gradually discover "what was before" and the motives that drive the characters become clear, and the events that lead them further are lined up at a fast pace, so that interest grows in how the events will unravel further.

It was a misunderstanding, but Sidney sat at the table of the hottest guy in the restaurant that night. The meeting intrigued both of them and the evening ends with Peter's invitation to his apartment for coffee. When a midnight call interrupts their love game, charming Peter shows a completely different face and Sidney walks out into the street in the middle of the night in shame. In the morning, the nightmare continues – Sidney can't believe that Peter is the new professor at her college, and she's been assigned to him as a demonstrator. Peter and Sidney are young people who strive to navigate the world around them using their talents and their feelings, aware that this is a bet that may not always pay off. Although young, they have a past that prevents them from realizing their potential. Broken by the reaction of the environment, they get back on their feet, do not give up and accept their scars as part of the school of life. They suffer, but they keep going.
